Every year, the dull winter drags, and drags. This period is hard to get through as all I have to think about is the awesome fishing from the past year. However, every spring I start to get the itch and instead of looking back at the good times of the past year I start looking forward to the upcoming year.
Those times are here and in full swing - I am anticipating my first bite of the 2021 season. So far I have been on the water only one time - but it was a gloriously beautiful day of zero fish and that was okay. However, I am thinking, this weekend might be the first fish in the bag of 2021.
April 24th is the trout opener - and I am excited and ready to get out and smash one, two, or twelve. Who knows?
I hope you all are as excited as I am for this warm weather to stay and those water levels to level off. Fishing season 2021 is beginning - so - very - soon!
Although I will be targeting trout first (probably) I am excited to try out some new lure types this year that I have picked up over the offseason. I am excited to try out some new Headbanger lures to see if the buzz surrounding them is legit or not.
