The end to the 2021 open water season is almost here

In the last few weeks we have begun to get snow, it hasn’t quite stuck to the ground yet but the season is changing soon enough. Tomorrow is the last day of the year that I will be taking the raft out on the water. I am doing the final musky send of the year, will we get any….who knows? I am just happy to be out on the water.

This time last year I was breaking ice to even get to the water’s edge. Definitely a change up with the warmer weather but it’s allowed for us to get out more than we have in the past.

Transitioning back to the fishing offseason has been odd but good. I took a tremendous number of trips this year and ended the season with a 3-day trip with my dad where we ended up catching 225 fish. It was tough, grueling, and super remote. My body was somewhat broken and I have enjoyed my time recuperating from the intensity of my trips.

This season found us catching tremendous amounts of quality bronzebacks, pike, walleye, and musky. Below are some of my favorite client catches from this year. It was one of my most productive seasons thus far hopefully though to be surpassed by every year to come.

Thank you for all of your support - I hope to be making an epic montage of client videos this fall. Stay tuned for it as I hope for it to be quite amazing!

As always.

Catch.

Release.

Wander.

C'est la vie.
